Once, a long time ago
there was a big black lake by our house
where all the roses would grow backwards.
I stayed under that lake for some time
trying to watch the roses:
also trying to avoid my father,
a hungry jackal with a laughing mouth.
Coming out
Finaly I saw my sister was gone
And that jackal’s laugh had a touch of
Grey metal
I couldn’t tell you all that I lost
dignity, and the need to get away
them was first.
then came words,
and the desire to pay attention.
in the midst of it all,
I lost you too.
and the bitter ground
grew nothing.
I am leaning out of the water
I am looking for
looking for my sister
I am leaning out of the water
I am calling you
I’m here.
